For too long, doctors have been subjected to expensive medical billing services using inefficient and outdated processes which result in missed revenue and a lack of visibility into how they get paid. DoctorCare is disrupting how billing services are delivered to doctors across Canada. 

Canadians get tremendous benefits from our healthcare system. But inefficiencies, inconsistencies, and lost opportunities can limit the quality of care they receive. This is particularly evident in primary care practices, where doctors are caring for complex patient populations and simply don’t have the time or resources to focus on maximizing efficiency. DoctorCare was started in 2012, with a clear mandate: patients count on doctors – so doctors needed someone to count on too.  Today, we are lucky enough to call over 2000 physicians across Canada as customers.

Managing Director

Running a medical practice is complex and helping doctors requires a deep understanding of their challenges including workflow, technology, HR, and more. When co-founding DoctorCare, Paulo recognized there is no one-size-fits-all solution, and is committed to ensuring DoctorCare always remains flexible and nimble in providing the best possible solutions to over 2, 000 Canada physicians.

Prior to starting DoctorCare, Paulo spent his career working with primary care physicians in the EMR industry and in pharmaceuticals with Pfizer. Paulo is also the co-founder of Khure Health, a company that helps primary care doctors identify high-risk patients for rare diseases. Paulo has an MBA and HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Managing Director

Having spent his entire career in Ontario’s healthcare system, Adam brings a wealth of experience to the DoctorCare team. At DoctorCare, Adam is responsible for the day-to-day management of the business as we work hard to provide great programs to our great doctors.

Before joining DoctorCare, Adam was Vice President of Adoption and Strategic Partnerships at the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN). Supporting over 400,000 patients annually, OTN’s mission is to develop and support telemedicine solutions that enhance access and quality of healthcare in Ontario.

Adam is a proven entrepreneur having started and grown previous health services companies that support over 2000 physicians across Canada.

Peter Cresswell

Peter Cresswell

VP of Technology

Peter is an experienced technologist bringing over 15 years of experience building software solutions to the DoctorCare team. Peter has been involved in the development of a range of technology solutions targeting the Ontario healthcare system including EMR solutions, in house billing and scheduling solutions, and clinical analysis reports. Peter is a registered professional engineer (P.Eng) and holds a BASc in Systems Design Engineering and a Masters of Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
