Did you know that you can get financial support when you first join a FHO?
The Income Stabilization (also known as IS) program developed by the Ministry of Health provides financial support for physicians who have joined a FHO/FHN while they develop patient rosters prior to converting to the group-based blended capitation model.
This means that you receive a guaranteed compensation rate for up to 12 consecutive months upon commencement of your membership with the FHO/FHN, provided that you meet each monthly enrolment target.
At DoctorCare, we support approximately 25% of FHOs in Ontario and have helped many physicians register for the Income Stabilization Program. In this short 10-minute video, we explain the advantages of the Income Stabilization Program for Ontario physicians transitioning to a FHO.
Here are the questions that we help answer in this video:
- What is income stabilization?
- How much compensation is provided?
- Who can sign up for the program?
- What are the patient enrolment targets?
- What are the patient requirements? With new patients and unattached patients defined.
- How do you enrol patients?
- How do you bill for a service provided?
- And how do I sign up?
