Don’t forget to bill for Home Care Supervision (K071, K072) after Home Care Application (K070)
At DoctorCare, we’ve observed that most doctors are familiar with and do use the home care application code (K070) when they complete the home care application form for their patient to receive Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) home care services.
But most are not aware of the additional home care codes available once the patient receives the home care services. This is a reminder that after the application, if you have a conversation with personnel involved with the home care service, such as with a CCAC staff or contractor, then you should bill for home care supervision (K071 or K072).
For full details, please see the billing requirements and payment rules in attached descriptor of Home Care Application (K070) and Home Care Supervision (K071, K072).

Also note that CCAC is now a part of the LHIN and now called LHIN Home and Community Care.
