OTN’s eConsult service allows primary care physicians like you to consult with specialists across the province to assist with clinical decision making, without having to send patients to see them in person. This saves time for all involved, and reduces the travel burden placed on patients.

Billing code usage & info (K738)
Where applicable, physicians can bill for the consult request using the K738 out of basket fee code. For more info on K738, download the OMA billing guide.
The services under eConsult are available at no cost to the patient and the provider. Specialists are paid through an arrangement with OntarioMD.

Getting started with eConsult is a simple process, and one that Dr. Amin found well supported by the OTN team:
“The interface is very easy to navigate, and the email prompts I get allow me to care for the patients in real time.
